Pitchfork Chardonnay 2026

Pitchfork Chardonnay is a fresh, unoaked Margaret River Chardonnay built around bright tropical fruit.

Like the rest of the approachable Pitchfork range from Hay Shed Hill, this wine draws on fruit from Margaret River, where a mild maritime climate lets Chardonnay ripen fully while holding on to natural acidity. For this wine the grapes are fermented in stainless steel tanks, with little influence from oak or lees, so the grape's own fruit character comes through clearly. Expect a clean, pale straw wine with plenty of tropical fruit and a zippy line of acidity keeping it lively. At 12.5% alcohol it is a lighter, fresher take on the variety than the richer barrel-fermented styles the region is famous for.

Best served well chilled. Try it with prawns on the barbecue, a chicken Caesar salad or fish tacos. It is made for drinking young, within a year or two of vintage.
