Description

Poggio Anima Samael is a Montepulciano d'Abruzzo from the Adriatic side of central Italy.

Montepulciano the grape has nothing to do with the Tuscan town of the same name; it is Abruzzo's own variety, giving deeply coloured, soft-tannined reds on the hills between the Apennines and the Adriatic. The appellation is one of the largest in Italy. The wine is fermented in stainless steel and aged briefly before release.

Serve at 16 degrees with pizza, grilled meats or a tomato-based pasta. Drink within five years.
