Poggio Anima Gabriel is a Pecorino from Terre di Chieti in Abruzzo.

Pecorino is an old central Italian variety that had nearly vanished by the 1980s before growers in Abruzzo and the Marche revived it; the name comes from pecora, sheep, said to refer to flocks grazing on the grapes. It gives a dry white with firm acidity and more body than most Italian whites. Terre di Chieti covers the hills of southern Abruzzo. The wine is fermented cool without oak.

Serve at 10 degrees with grilled fish, chicken or antipasti. Drink within three years.
