Pol Roger Brut Réserve Methuselah 6L NV

Pol Roger Brut Réserve is the house's signature non-vintage Champagne, here in a spectacular six-litre Methuselah.

Founded in 1849 and still family owned, the house is based in Épernay and is famous for its long association with Sir Winston Churchill. The Brut Réserve is a blend of roughly equal parts Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay, drawn from vineyards across the Champagne region, with reserve wines added to keep the house style consistent. It spends several years ageing on lees in the cellars before release, building brioche and honeyed complexity alongside its fresh fruit. The Methuselah holds the equivalent of eight standard bottles, making it a true centrepiece for a big celebration.

Serve well chilled, at around 8 to 10 degrees; a bottle this size needs a large ice tub, several hours to chill properly and a second pair of hands to pour. It suits canapés, oysters, smoked salmon blinis and roast chicken, and makes a memorable showpiece at weddings and milestone parties.
