Pol Roger Brut Réserve Non Vintage Salmanazar is the family house's signature champagne in a bottle equivalent to twelve standard ones.

Pol Roger was founded at Épernay in 1849 and is still owned and run by the founder's descendants, which makes it one of the last genuinely independent houses of any size in Champagne. Brut Réserve blends Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay in roughly equal thirds, drawn from around thirty villages and completed with reserve wines from earlier harvests. It rests on its lees for years in cellars about thirty metres beneath the town, among the coldest and deepest in the region, and each bottle is riddled by hand rather than by machine. The large formats are made in small numbers and by hand.

A Salmanazar holds 9L, a full case of champagne in a single bottle; chill for several hours and serve at 8 to 10 degrees, with a stand or a second person for pouring.
