Pol Roger Vintage Rosé Gift Box 2019

Pol Roger Vintage Rosé Gift Box is a declared vintage rosé Champagne from the family owned house in Epernay, presented in its own gift carton.

Pol Roger has been based on the Avenue de Champagne in Epernay since 1849, and its cellars run deep into the chalk beneath the town, cold enough to slow maturation to a crawl. The rosé is a vintage wine rather than a blend across years, so it appears only when the harvest justifies it. As is standard practice in Champagne, colour comes from the addition of a portion of still red Pinot Noir to a base of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from the house's grand and premier cru sources. The wine then rests on lees in the chalk for several years, is riddled by hand and disgorged to order.

Serve lightly chilled, at around 10 degrees, with charcuterie, cured salmon, duck or a bowl of summer berries; the packaging makes it a straightforward gift without further wrapping.
