Poli Distillerie Po' Morbida Moscato Grappa 'Smooth' is a grappa distilled from Moscato pomace by a family house in the Veneto.

The Poli family have been distilling at Schiavon, below Bassano del Grappa in the Veneto, since 1898, and are now in their fourth generation. Grappa is distilled not from wine but from vinaccia, the skins, pips and stems left after pressing, and the modern practice of distilling each grape variety separately is what turned it from a rustic by product into a spirit taken seriously. The Po' di Poli range is built on exactly that idea, with each bottling drawn from a single variety and named for the character it shows. Morbida is the Moscato version, unaged and bottled clear, made from the pomace of the grape that gives Asti and Colli Euganei their sweet wines.

Serve chilled to about 10 to 12 degrees in a small tulip glass after a meal, or with dessert.
