Poliziano Chianti Colli Senesi DOCG 2024

Poliziano Chianti Colli Senesi is a Sangiovese from the hills around Montepulciano in southern Tuscany.

Colli Senesi is the largest of the Chianti sub-zones, covering the hills of the Siena province, and the fruit here comes from the same clay and sand slopes that supply the estate's Vino Nobile. Poliziano was founded in 1961 by Dino Carletti at Montepulciano and has been run since the late 1970s by his son Federico, whose work on clonal selection and vineyard density reshaped the estate. This wine is fermented in stainless steel and matured briefly in large oak, keeping Sangiovese's cherry fruit and savoury edge to the front.

Serve at 16 degrees with pasta in tomato sauce, grilled meats or pecorino. Drink over the next five years.
