Description

Pooles Rock Premiere Chardonnay comes from the Hunter Valley, north of Sydney.

Tyrrell's planted Australia's first commercial Chardonnay in the Hunter in 1971, and the region's style is built on early picking and restraint rather than weight, since the summers are warm and humid and harvest comes in January. The wine is fermented with a portion in French oak and matured on lees.

Serve at 12 degrees with roast chicken, prawns or a creamy pasta. Drink over the next five years.
