Description

Pyramid Valley North Canterbury Chardonnay is a white from North Canterbury in New Zealand, made from Chardonnay.

North Canterbury sits on the dry eastern side of the South Island, where cool nights and limestone-bearing clays in the Waipara and Waikari valleys make the area's name. Pyramid Valley works there. We have no producer notes for this release, so no winemaking detail is claimed here.

Chardonnay from a cool maritime region of this sort generally leans citrus and white peach with a firm, dry finish. Serve at 10 to 12 degrees with fish, chicken, or something in a cream sauce.
