Description

Quartz Reef Méthode Traditionnelle Brut is a Central Otago sparkling from Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.

Rudi Bauer came from Austria and has made sparkling wine in Central Otago since the 1990s, when few thought the region could do it. The Bendigo estate is certified biodynamic and sits on schist terraces once mined for gold, which is where the winery's name comes from. The wine is bottle-fermented and rested on lees before disgorgement.

Serve at 8 degrees as an aperitif, or with oysters, salmon or fried food. Drink on release.
