Description
Quealy Mornington Peninsula Pinot Grigio is a dry, energetic Grigio from a classical Peninsula vintage.
Six vineyards, all dry-grown and all low-cropping, go into this bottling, with Musk Creek, the Campbell and Christine, and Hickson's at Balnarring among them, every one farmed by the Quealy team. Harvest spreads from late February to late March depending on the site. Whole bunches press slowly over twelve hours, no sulphur is used at any point in the winemaking, fermentation happens in stainless steel, malolactic conversion is partial and spontaneous, and the wine rests six months on lees untouched. A classical season in 2025 has given a fluent, coolly energetic wine, nothing like the supermarket shorthand for this grape.
Nashi pear and lime with a stony, mineral centre and a pulpy, gently grippy texture. Dry and long. Serve at 9 to 10 degrees. Match it with oysters, grilled calamari, a pork and fennel sausage, or a plate of antipasto.
*Every effort is made to ensure the current vintage is accurate; however, variations can occur. If you are after a specific vintage, please contact us prior to ordering.
