Quealy Turbul Moscato Giallo 2023

Quealy Turbul Moscato Giallo is a dry, textural skin-contact white from organically grown Moscato Giallo.

Fermentation moved to stainless steel for the 2023, with the wine then left alone on skins until the first day of spring before pressing. From there it went into seasoned hogsheads and stayed until late winter 2025, an unusually long raising for an aromatic white, and was bottled without filtration. The vines date to 2014 and their fruit normally goes into the estate's field blend and sparkling wine; a small parcel is now drawn off each year for this bottling. The grapes are hardy and thick-skinned, picked in early April and hand-sorted before anything else happens.

Orange blossom, lavender, Turkish delight and dried flowers, with pulpy mouthcoating texture, a salty lick and a long tangy close. Serve at 13 degrees. It performs at the table with roast duck or spiced pork, and works just as well poured after dinner with a dish of nuts.
