Redbank Victorian Sangiovese 2024

Redbank Victorian Sangiovese is a lively, cherry-fruited Sangiovese made for easy drinking.

Sangiovese, the grape of Chianti, was among the Italian varieties planted in the King Valley by families of Italian descent, and it has adapted well to the cooler climate of north-east Victoria. This one is made in an approachable, fruit-forward style. It is bright red, with dark cherry and spice on the nose and upfront, lively cherry flavours on a luscious palate, finishing crisp and fresh. It is an easy-drinking red for any occasion, with enough acidity to work well at the table.

Serve at 15 to 17 degrees with pizza margherita, meatballs, eggplant parmigiana or a spread of salumi.
