Description

Rieslingfreak No.8 Schatzkammer is a sweet Riesling from Polish Hill River in the Clare Valley.

Schatzkammer means treasure chamber in German, the room where a cathedral or palace keeps its most valuable objects, and the name signals the style: a sweeter wine in the German tradition, where the sugar is balanced by Clare's firm acidity rather than sitting heavily. Polish Hill's slate soils give the acidity to carry it.

Serve cold at 8 degrees with fruit desserts, pork belly or blue cheese. It develops over a decade.
