Ringbolt Chardonnay 2024

Ringbolt Chardonnay is a savoury, mineral Chardonnay from Western Australia's Margaret River.

Margaret River Chardonnay has earned a national reputation, helped by a mild climate, gravelly soils and ocean breezes that keep acidity bright through ripening. Ringbolt, part of the Hill-Smith family's group of wineries, sets out to capture that regional style at an approachable price. The 2024 is straw with green hints, showing citrus blossom and white nectarine with a little cashew and flint, then preserved lemon and peach skin, and a savoury, slightly salty oyster-shell feel through the middle of the palate before a long, mineral finish.

A good chill, around 10 degrees, suits it best. Pair it with grilled snapper, oysters, roast chicken with lemon or a creamy mushroom risotto.
