Description

Rising Cabernet Franc is a rare Australian varietal bottling of a Loire and Bordeaux grape.

Cabernet Franc is usually blended in Australia, but in a cool region like the Yarra Valley it ripens to the perfumed, red-fruited style it shows in Chinon and Bourgueil rather than turning green. Plantings here are small. Fermentation includes whole bunches, with maturation in seasoned oak.

Serve slightly cool at 15 degrees with roast chicken, charcuterie or grilled vegetables. Drink over the next eight years.
