Description
Description
Robert Stein Dry Riesling comes from Mudgee, inland New South Wales, where the family has grown vines since 1976.
Mudgee sits west of the Great Dividing Range at around 450 metres, warm by day and cold at night, which is what allows Riesling to hold acidity this far inland. The Stein family's connection to Australian wine runs back to Johann Stein, who brought vine cuttings from the Rhine in 1838 at the request of the New South Wales governor. The fruit is pressed gently, fermented cool and bottled dry without oak.
Serve at 8 degrees with seafood, salads or Asian food. It will develop over eight years.
