Robert Stein Half Dry Riesling 2023

Robert Stein Half Dry Riesling is left with a little residual sugar rather than fermented out completely.

A touch of sweetness balanced against Riesling's natural acidity gives a wine that reads as fresh rather than sweet, in the German Halbtrocken manner, and it handles spice and chilli better than a dry wine does. The family's Mudgee vineyards sit at altitude in inland New South Wales. Fermentation is stopped while a small amount of sugar remains.

Serve at 8 degrees with Thai or Sichuan food, pork belly or blue cheese. It develops over eight years.
