Rocche Costamagna Langhe Nebbiolo DOC is Nebbiolo from the Barolo commune of La Morra, released without the years of ageing the DOCG demands.

Langhe Nebbiolo is the appellation that lets growers in the Barolo and Barbaresco zones bottle the variety young. Fruit often comes from the same holdings as their senior wines, from younger vines or from parcels set aside for the purpose, and the wine is made in a lighter register, with a shorter time on skins and less time in wood, so that it can be opened within a few years rather than laid down. Rocche Costamagna farms on the Annunziata slope in La Morra, on the western side of the Barolo appellation, where marl soils give Nebbiolo a more approachable frame. The result is a way into the grape without the wait, or the price, of a Barolo.

Serve at 16 to 18°C with roast poultry, mushroom dishes, pasta with meat sauce or medium aged cheeses.
