Running with Bulls Albariño 2023

Running with Bulls Albariño is a fresh, aromatic Australian take on the great white grape of Spain's Galicia.

Running with Bulls was started in 2008 by the Hill-Smith family, the long-established family behind Yalumba, as a playful home for Spanish grape varieties grown in Australian conditions. Albariño suits warm South Australian summers, holding its acidity well and keeping a fresh, saline edge. Made in a crisp style at 11.5% alcohol and sealed under screw cap, the 2023 opens with white flowers, mango skin and a little flint, then nectarine, honeydew melon and almond meal, with juicy poached pear and peach on the palate and a lemon and apple sorbet finish.

Serve well chilled. Grilled octopus, garlic prawns, salt and pepper calamari or a seafood paella are all natural matches, and it is just as good on its own as an aperitif.
