Description

Sa Raja Vermentino is from Gallura, the only DOCG in Sardinia.

Vermentino di Gallura earned Sardinia's sole DOCG status in 1996, recognising the granite hills of the island's north-east as the variety's finest home. The Superiore designation requires higher minimum alcohol and lower yields. Vermentino here gives a saline, citrus-driven wine with a faintly bitter almond finish.

Serve at 10 degrees with grilled fish, shellfish or seafood pasta. Drink within four years.
