Saint Clair Origin Chardonnay 2022

Saint Clair Origin Chardonnay is a ripe, creamy Marlborough Chardonnay with stone fruit and a touch of oak spice.

The Origin range is Saint Clair's regional collection, made to show what Marlborough fruit can do at an everyday price. The Ibbotson family set up the company in the 1990s, and it has grown into one of the region's best-known family-owned producers. This Chardonnay is made in a fruit-driven style, with some oak influence adding vanilla and spice. The 2022 shows ripe peach and vanilla on the nose, then layers of stone fruit, citrus pith and a little spice, with a full, round mouthfeel and a creamy texture.

Chill it well and drink it soon, while the fruit is at its freshest. Try it with roast chicken, prawn linguine, fish pie or a Caesar salad.
