Saint Clair Origin Pinot Gris 2025

Saint Clair Origin Pinot Gris is a rounded, aromatic white from Marlborough with pear, pastry and a hint of sweetness.

Based near Blenheim, this has become one of Marlborough's most recognised wineries while staying with the founding Ibbotson family. The Origin wines are its regional range, made for varietal character and easy drinking. The Pinot Gris grapes are picked ripe and the wine is finished just off-dry, giving a fuller, textured palate. The 2025 is pale straw, with cinnamon, vanilla and warm pastry aromas and a hint of fresh pear, then spiced poached pear and custard with a clean line of minerality through the finish.

Chill it down for summer drinking. It works with honey-soy chicken, pork san choy bow, pumpkin and feta tart or a bowl of salted nuts before dinner.
