Saint Clair Pioneer Block 10 Twin Hills Pinot Noir 2023

Saint Clair Pioneer Block 10 Twin Hills Pinot Noir is a concentrated single-vineyard Pinot Noir from Marlborough.

The Pioneer Block wines give individual vineyards their own bottling, so drinkers can compare how different corners of Marlborough express the same grape. Twin Hills, Block 10, produces a darker, more structured style of Pinot Noir. The family-owned winery ferments and matures each block on its own, with oak adding toasty complexity. The 2023 is deep garnet, with fresh blueberries, spice and toasted oak on the nose, and a rich, concentrated palate of dark berries, violet and spice with a silky structure and a lingering finish.

Serve at around 15 to 17 degrees. Try it with venison, slow-roast lamb shoulder, duck confit or a wild mushroom pie; it will also age nicely for several years.
