Saint Clair Wairau Reserve Sauvignon Blanc is the top-tier Sauvignon Blanc from Saint Clair, grown in Marlborough's Wairau Valley.

The Wairau Valley is the heart of Marlborough, a broad river valley whose stony, free-draining soils and long sunny days produce the intense aromatics the region is famous for. For the Reserve, fruit is selected from sites in the valley that show the most concentration and power. The family-owned winery, founded by Neal and Judy Ibbotson, has built much of its reputation on this wine. The 2025 has grapefruit and blackcurrant bud aromas with tropical notes and a herbaceous thread, then passionfruit, grapefruit and crushed herbs on a weighty, salty-mineral palate.

Chill well before serving. It is excellent with snapper, crayfish, goat's cheese or a Vietnamese herb salad, and has the concentration to hold for a couple of years.
