Sam Miranda Chardonnay 2022

Sam Miranda Chardonnay is a fresh, restrained King Valley Chardonnay from a winemaker better known for Italian varieties.

Even with all the Italian grapes around it, this variety has long been one of the valley's key plantings. The winery sits at Oxley, set up by Sam, the third generation of his family in wine, and its higher sites in the upper valley, up towards the Victorian Alps, give the fruit natural acidity. Oak is there for support only, and the wine is made with the table in mind.

Stone fruit and a gentle, textured palate. Serve at 9–11°C with roast chicken, grilled fish, creamy pasta or soft cheeses, now or over the next few years.
