Sam Miranda Nuovo Nebbiolo 2025

Sam Miranda Nuovo Nebbiolo is a light, juicy King Valley red made for drinking young and cold.

The fruit comes off the family's Myrrhee vineyard, in cooler country above the valley floor, and sits on skins for just a few days before pressing. That short, gentle extraction keeps the juicy red fruit and sidesteps the firm tannin the grape usually brings. The Mirandas have been making wine in north-east Victoria since the 1930s, and Sam and Rachel run the winery and cellar door at Oxley today.

Light in body and bright in the glass, with plenty of red fruit and barely any grip. Thirty minutes in the fridge does it good, then pour it at 12–14°C alongside charcuterie, roast chicken, pork or a plate of soft cheese.
