Scout Wines Central Otago Pinot Gris 2024

Scout Wines Central Otago Pinot Gris is a dry white from New Zealand, made from Pinot Gris.

The label names Central Otago, New Zealand's southernmost wine region and its only properly continental one, where the gap between hot days and cold nights holds acidity in white grapes. We hold no producer notes for this bottling, so there is no winemaking detail here beyond the region and the grape.

Pinot Gris from a cool, high region tends to be dry to just off-dry, with pear and nashi fruit and a gentle rather than sharp acid line. Serve chilled at around 8 degrees with pork, salads, or soft cheese.
