Description
Description
Sella & Mosca Tanca Farrà Alghero DOC is a polished Sardinian red crafted from Cannonau and Cabernet Sauvignon, that balances Mediterranean warmth with coastal elegance. Sourced from the historic I Piani estate, the grapes are cold-macerated, fermented at controlled temperatures and aged for 12 months in a mix of French barrique and large oak, followed by further bottle maturation.
Deep ruby with purple highlights, it opens with ripe red fruit and morello cherry layered with myrtle, balsamic herbs and a touch of sweet tobacco. The palate is plush and enveloping, yet beautifully balanced by a savoury, marine-like freshness and a persistent line of acidity. Subtle vanilla from oak lingers on a long, refined finish.
Elegant, structured and unmistakably Mediterranean. Perfect with roast lamb, aged pecorino or rich mushroom dishes.

Tanca Farrà is a flagship red from the historic I Piani estate, blending Cannonau (Grenache) with Cabernet Sauvignon to bring both generosity and frame. Careful temperature-controlled fermentation and measured oak ageing create a wine that is polished and refined, while still unmistakably Sardinian in character.
