Shaky Bridge Artisan Pinot Gris 2024

Shaky Bridge Artisan Pinot Gris is a rounded, aromatic white from Alexandra in Central Otago.

Very cold nights after hot days give aromatic whites here intensity and freshness, and this grape has quietly become one of the region's success stories alongside Pinot Noir. As part of the producer's more considered tier, it spends time on lees for a rounder mouthfeel, while natural acidity keeps the pear and spice lively. The winery is named after the historic suspension footbridge across the Manuherikia River in town.

Pear, quince and gentle spice on a soft, round palate. Chill to 8–10°C and pour it with pork, roast chicken, mild curries or Asian-style seafood, drinking it over the next few years while it's fresh.
