Shaky Bridge Pioneer Pinot Noir 2024

Shaky Bridge Pioneer Pinot Noir is a juicy, fruit-forward everyday Pinot Noir from Alexandra in Central Otago.

The name is a nod to the district's gold-rush history. Alexandra sits at the southern end of the region, dry and continental, with hot days, cold nights and schist soils that give bright colour and good acidity. The winemaking is kept simple, with gentle extraction and only a little oak, so the red and dark berry fruit comes through at an accessible price.

Cherry and raspberry with soft tannins, easy to like. Serve slightly cool (14–16°C) with pizza, roast chicken, salmon or charcuterie. It's good now and will hold for a few years.
