Shaw + Smith Shiraz 375ml 2024

Shaw + Smith Shiraz is a cool-climate Adelaide Hills red drawn from the winery's own vineyards.

At 400 to 500 metres the Hills ripen Shiraz at moderate sugar levels, producing wines of medium weight with a peppery lift rather than the richness of the warmer South Australian regions. Shaw + Smith has grown the variety since the early 2000s at Balhannah. Whole bunches are included in the ferment, and maturation is in French oak with restraint on new wood.

Serve at 16 degrees with lamb, charcuterie or a mushroom ragù. It develops over ten years.
