Simonit & Sirch's Cordon Methodology is a technical pruning manual for spur-pruned vines by Marco Simonit.

The companion volume to the same authors' Guyot manual, first published in Italian in 2016 and since translated into English with more than 400 photographs. Marco Simonit and Pierpaolo Sirch made their name on an approach to pruning that respects the flow of sap and keeps cuts small, reducing wood disease and lengthening the working life of a vine; the method has been tested in vineyards across the globe and their consultancy now advises estates well beyond Italy. Every stage is covered, from establishing a young plant to handling one in late maturity, with each step shown in pictures.

Written for the people who actually hold the secateurs: vineyard managers, viticulturists, contract pruning crews and growers with a few rows of their own. The photographs make it usable out in the rows, and it belongs on the shelf beside the Guyot volume.
