Sister's Run Cows Corner Grenache Shiraz Mataro 2022

Sister's Run Cows Corner Grenache Shiraz Mataro is a plush yet savoury South Australian blend of three classic Rhône grapes.

Grenache, Shiraz and Mataro have grown side by side in South Australia for well over a century, and Sister's Run blends them here into a wine of contrasts. Grenache brings lush red berry fruit, Shiraz adds blackberry depth and backbone acidity, and Mataro contributes earthy, savoury tannins. There's tobacco, nutmeg and spice on the nose, with oak playing only the faintest role. The wine swings between plush and savoury from one sip to the next, its generosity held in check by firm tannins and fresh acidity.

Best at around 16 degrees. Bring it to the table with lamb shoulder, pizza, a mushroom ragù or grilled sausages.
