Description

Spring Seed Aster Pinot Noir is a light, fruit-first Pinot Noir from McLaren Vale, made to drink young.

Old garden seed packets inspired the labels here, and each wine in the range is named for a flower or vegetable. Joch Bosworth and Louise Hemsley-Smith make it as the sister label to Battle of Bosworth, using organically grown fruit. Sea breezes off Gulf St Vincent keep the Vale's Mediterranean warmth in check, and this Pinot is made gently, with soft tannins and lively acidity.

Red cherry and raspberry on a light, silky palate. Pour it lightly chilled, around 13–15°C, with salmon, roast chicken or mushrooms. A friendly first Pinot for anyone who usually drinks bigger reds, and best while it's young.
