Description

Spring Seed Cock Cab Cabernet Sauvignon is a good-value, organically grown Cabernet from McLaren Vale.

Joch Bosworth and Louise Hemsley-Smith started this range as a sister label to Battle of Bosworth, with packaging modelled on old garden seed packets. Everything comes from organically grown fruit in the Vale, where a warm Mediterranean climate is cooled by breezes off the gulf. Expect firm Cabernet structure and blackcurrant fruit, made approachable enough for early drinking.

Mint and blackcurrant, with fine, firm tannins. Serve at 16–18°C alongside lamb chops, a beef pie or hard cheese. Drink it now or tuck it away for a few years.
