Spring Seed Scarlet Runner Shiraz 2022

Spring Seed Scarlet Runner Shiraz is a ripe, easy-drinking organic Shiraz from McLaren Vale.

The name comes from the climbing bean, in keeping with a range whose labels look like vintage seed packets. It's made by the Battle of Bosworth team, Joch Bosworth and Louise Hemsley-Smith, from organically grown local fruit. The Vale is known for ripe, generous Shiraz, and this one shows that fruit without heavy oak.

Ripe plum and blackberry with soft, round tannins. Try it at 16–18°C with barbecued meats, lasagne or a cheese board. An honest midweek red, and a good one to bring along when friends come over.
