Spring Seed The Wanderer Sparkling Red NV

Spring Seed The Wanderer Sparkling Red is a non-vintage, deeply coloured sparkling red from organically farmed McLaren Vale fruit.

Sparkling red is one of Australia’s own wine styles, and this one follows the tradition: ripe red grapes from the Vale, given a secondary fermentation for a fine bead and plenty of fruit. The vineyards are certified organic, near Willunga, and farmed by the husband-and-wife team who also run Battle of Bosworth. As with the rest of the range, the label takes its cue from heirloom seeds.

Rich, dark-fruited and frothy. Serve lightly chilled at 8–10°C with glazed ham, roast turkey or chargrilled lamb; it comes into its own at Christmas lunch or a barbecue.
