Springs Road Cabernet Sauvignon 2022

Springs Road Cabernet Sauvignon is a Kangaroo Island Cabernet with blackcurrant fruit, fine tannins and a leafy freshness.

Sea breezes keep things cool on this island, one of South Australia's most maritime wine regions, and grapes ripen without the heat of the mainland. That gives Cabernet clear varietal character and fresh natural acidity. The winery is a small one, and it uses oak here to add depth and structure.

A savoury, blackcurranty red with a firm build. Give it some air in a decanter and pour at 16–18°C alongside roast lamb, a rib-eye steak or hard cheese. It will cellar well over the medium term.
