Description

Springs Road Shiraz Cabernet is a classic South Australian red blend grown on Kangaroo Island.

Blending Shiraz with Cabernet Sauvignon is a long Australian tradition. Shiraz brings generous dark fruit and spice, Cabernet adds firmness and a blackcurrant edge, and time in oak pulls the two together. On the island, cool sea winds and moderate temperatures keep the fruit fresh, and this small producer works only with local grapes.

Rich, dark-fruited and well structured. Pour at 16–18°C with roast beef, lamb chops or a slow-cooked casserole. An hour in the decanter helps an older vintage open up.
