Stanton & Killeen Rare Muscat 375ml NV

Stanton & Killeen Rare Muscat is the family's top-tier Rutherglen fortified Muscat, very old and concentrated, in a half bottle.

Only a small amount is bottled each year, drawn from the oldest casks in the cellar. Rutherglen ranks its fortifieds in four tiers, and this is the highest. The red-skinned grapes are picked very ripe, partly fermented, fortified and then aged for decades in old oak while evaporation slowly concentrates the wine.

Viscous, intense and very long, so a little goes a long way. Small 30–60 ml glasses at 14–16°C suit blue cheese, walnuts or dates, or just sip it on its own after dinner.
