Description

Stanton & Killeen Terra Mae is a food-friendly Rutherglen red from the family's Iberian plantings.

Those Iberian vines went in for vintage fortified, and these days the family also makes table wine from them. The supplier tells us this one is Tempranillo-based. It gets careful oak handling, so ripe north-east Victorian fruit and a soft texture stay up front.

Ripe, savoury and easy, best opened with food. Try it at 15–17°C alongside grilled chorizo, lamb kofta, mushroom risotto or a mixed tapas plate.
