Description

Stanton & Killeen The Prince Reserva is a savoury Rutherglen red, aged in oak and bottle, with Tempranillo at its heart.

Tempranillo leads in this flagship of the family's Iberian-style reds. Following Spanish reserve practice, it spends extra time maturing in barrel and then in bottle before it leaves the winery. The vines behind it were first planted with vintage fortified in mind.

Expect fine tannins and real length, with room to age a few years. It likes a decant; pour at 16–18°C next to roast lamb, osso buco, slow-cooked beef or aged Manchego.
