Stonegarden Mr Randall Fortified Muscat Field Blend No 1 NV

Stonegarden Mr Randall Fortified Muscat Field Blend No 1 is a sweet Barossa fortified made from Muscat grown in an old co-planted vineyard, with no single vintage.

Fortified wine has a long history in the Barossa, and this bottle carries it on. Muscat from the vineyard's mixed plantings is fortified with grape spirit to stop fermentation and keep its natural sweetness, then aged in old barrels. Blending wines of different ages builds richness and a mellow, rounded feel. The vines on this historic site date back well over a century.

Rich, sweet and raisined. Pour a 60ml glass at 14–16°C after dinner with blue cheese, sticky date pudding, dark chocolate or roasted nuts. Well sealed, an open bottle keeps for several weeks.
