Stoney Rise Gruner Veltliner 2019

Stoney Rise Grüner Veltliner is a dry white from the Tamar Valley in Tasmania, Australia, made from Grüner Veltliner.

The Tamar Valley runs inland from Tasmania's north coast and is cool and maritime, which is the kind of climate the small Australian plantings of Grüner Veltliner are mostly found in. Stoney Rise farms in the valley. We hold no winemaking notes for this release.

Grüner Veltliner is usually dry, with citrus, a green herbal edge and a dusting of white pepper, and a 2019 should be showing some development. Serve at around 10 degrees with schnitzel, pork, asparagùs, or green vegetables.
