Description

Swinging Bridge Caldwell Lane Pinot Noir comes from a single site in the high country around Orange.

Pinot Noir and Chardonnay are the varieties Orange does best, and the region's volcanic soils and elevation give Pinot a perfumed, fine-boned character rather than weight. Tom Ward has led the estate since 2008, shifting the family's grape growing from commercial contracts to premium winemaking. Fruit is hand-picked, fermented with whole bunches and matured in French oak with little new wood.

Serve at 15 degrees with duck, salmon or mushroom dishes. Drink over the next six years.
