Swinging Bridge William J Shiraz 2022

Swinging Bridge William J Shiraz is a cool-climate red from the high country around Orange.

Shiraz grown at Orange's altitudes ripens slowly and comes out peppery and medium-bodied, a long way from the warm-climate Australian style. The wine carries a family name, as several in the range do: Tom Ward's family have farmed in the district since 1867 and his children are Eliza and William. Fermentation includes whole bunches, with French oak maturation.

Serve at 16 degrees with lamb, duck or grilled vegetables. Drink over the next eight years.
