Tar & Roses Local Hero Barolo 2019

Tar & Roses Local Hero Barolo is a Piedmontese Nebbiolo made under the Australian label's Italian project.

Barolo is made from Nebbiolo grown in the Langhe hills south of Alba, where the variety ripens late and produces wines of high acidity and firm tannin that need years in cellar. Tar & Roses built its name on Italian varieties in Victoria, and working with fruit from the source is the logical extension. Ageing follows the appellation's minimum requirements in oak.

Decant well ahead and serve at 17 degrees with braised beef, game or aged cheese. It rewards fifteen years.
