Tar & Roses The Rose Shiraz 2019

Tar & Roses The Rose Shiraz is a Heathcote red held back and released with bottle age.

Heathcote Shiraz has the depth and fine tannin to age, and releasing a wine at several years old shows what that time brings: the primary fruit settles and savoury, earthy notes come through. The fruit came from the region's Cambrian greenstone soils. The wine was fermented in open vessels and matured in French oak before extended bottle ageing at the winery.

Serve at 17 degrees with slow-cooked beef, game or aged cheddar. Drinking well now.
